TGIF

I have had an extraordinary day.  Don't you love it when that happens?  It started out with an early morning walk with then entire family - Steve gets a ride with his cousin to work, so we walk all together towards the main road until Don drives up and gets Steve.  This morning we were a little late so we only made it to the end of the road before Steve had to go, but the rest of us kept going.  I loved my view:

When I got home, I whipped up some Peanut Butter Banana Oat Bars (love adding things to my "pinned it, did it" board on Pinterest - I'm a dork, I know).  They turned out pretty good, just a little soft because I don't have quick cook oats, just old fashioned.

I packed up two boxes worth of books, which filled my packing quota for the day.  Yesterday I told Kelsey that I was going to spend the entire day at home, either packing or sewing and I decided to go with sewing - such a good decision.  Here is a sneak peak into my project:

I'm writing this while I nurse Riggs, then it will be back to work on the quilt I'm making with those beautiful fabrics!  I would be working on my sampler, but I'm still waiting on two of the fabrics to get here.

I'll leave you with this exciting sign of Spring in Alaska and warm wishes for your weekends:
