photo from last week but I just love it too much not to share, he's going to be such a good big brother!
How Far Along? 34 weeks - 40 days (until my due date that is)
Size of Baby: Cantaloupe melon (almost 18 inches and about 4 3/4 pounds)
Gender: Girl!
Weight Gain: At my appointment Wednesday I was up 25 pounds according to the scale in the Midwives office.
Maternity Clothes: Oh, yes. And mostly just the dresses, skirts and tanks. I need to go buy a few nursing tanks and bras but I've been putting it off. I'm planning on getting the Target tanks plus a few of their bras, which I need to try on (I know what size tanks I need). I have had Riggs with me every time I've been at Target lately and it's something I'd prefer to do by myself.
Nursery: Her little nook in our room is pretty much ready and waiting for her (I haven't taken the rock n' play out of the box because I don't want it taking up space before we need it). Still need to decide on a coming home outfit and pack bags.
Movement: Still very active, especially at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. Also very responsive to touch and different sitting/laying positions. I can definitely feel entire arm and leg movements lately, it's exciting and yet sometimes very uncomfortable.
Cravings: Kettle potato chips, mint chocolate chip ice cream, big yummy salads (that I don't have to make) watermelon.
Best Moment This Week: Hearing that baby girl is head down at my appointment Wednesday. Now let's just hope she stays that way!
Looking Forward to: My parents getting home from their trip and bringing my little sister with them!!
Also looking forward to sending out birth announcements! I love sending and receiving 'real' mail and so any occasion is a good excuse to send something out, especially the birth of a new baby! I've been looking around and was surprised that I didn't find much I like for girl birth announcements on tinyprints (I usually love them!). But I have found a few that I LOVE on Etsy so that's probably where I'll order them from. Here are a few of my favorites (click on photo for link):
I also love the idea of this keepsake birth story print, I think it would be beautiful to frame and hang in their room. If I did get one for baby girl I'd probably go find a boy one to make for Riggs too and hang them near each other:
This pillow is adorable too, and I thought it would be too cute in newborn pictures (for the record 'Mia' is not the name we've picked out, it's just the shops sample):
Robert's cousin is 35 weeks with her 1st and I have a little race in my head going on between you :)
ReplyDeletehaha well I'm sure she'll go first! I'm expecting an early July birthday, probably at least a week past my 'due date' :)
ReplyDeletethey really are!!
