booties and a pickle

{I am linked up with Nicole from Frontier Dreams for this post}

I made these booties last week for Riggs, and I love how they turned out!  I thought they were a bit big at first, but they actually fit him quite well.  I really love the pattern because it was very easy and quick and they stay on his feet so well (which is nearly a miracle as he has very small feet, especially in comparison to his chubby legs).

I wanted to write more today about crafting and life in general, but I am too distracted by what is happening outside my house right now.  Steve took the dog out and found a very drunk, very, very cold twenty something year old woman in our yard who had fallen down.  She tried to follow him in the house and will not listen, and even peed in our yard.  He offered to call someone to come get her and wants to help but there is only so much we can do.  We did give her some warm gloves and an old blanket.  I called community service patrol and the APD since CSP is backed up right now and she literally will not leave us alone.

I hope they come soon!  Poor Steve is stuck out there keeping her from coming and knocking incessantly on our door and poor she is probably pretty scared and very cold.  Not a fun situation at all...
