getting projects done
Today was sort of a wierd day, yet still really fun. Steve and I took my parents to the airport in the morning. They are spending a week in Hawaii. I don't really think Alaska wanted them to go, because the weather here warmed up to nearly tropical temps (46 degrees in January!!!) and there's a balmy "breeze" out there that's quickly melting all the snow we have. I haven't really been outside much anyway, since I'm still recovering from the brutal virus Steve and I got so it hasn't really bothered me. I spent the rest of today working on my sewing projects that have been on the back burner during school. I finished a little taggy blanket that I found fabric for a fee months ago. I finished some burp rags that I plan on gifting to a friend who is having a baby girl. AND I finished the last 10 squares for my maple leaf quilt which I've been slowly working on for over a year (I know, I know). I'm so excited about getting closer to finishing my first ever full size quilt. I am really trying to get projects finished up before starting new ones or purchasing new materials so todays progress is exciting. Hopefully I can keep it up for the rest of the year. I took some pictures of what I accomplished today, enjoy!
