I also like cornmeal, but I increased the amount to a full cup (I also decreased the amount of flour to about 1.5 cups). Also, your ingredients list didn't mention baking soda, but the instructions did. So just for fun, I added 0.5 teaspoon of baking soda. I don't know if the original recipe called for it or not, but you might want to update either the list or the instructions to clarify this. Finally, I didn't have quite enough banana, so I supplemented with some apple. Anyway, it turned out quite nice.
