pregnancy update: 33 weeks

How Far Along? 33 weeks - 47 days until my estimated due date!

Size of Baby: Pineapple (about 17 inches and 4 pounds)

Gender: Girl!

Weight Gain: Still at about +23 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. Pretty happy with the selection of clothes I have now, it's nice. With this warm weather I've been living in skirts, dresses, shorts and tanks.

Nursery: We now have just about everything we need for baby girl's arrival. Her crib is set up in Riggs' room for naps, etc with a freshly laundered pink sheet. The carseat and base are ready and waiting (in her crib for now, don't want to drive around with them in case of a traffic accident, then we'd have to buy a new one). We have her rock n' play ready to set up in our room, and her clothes are (mostly) laundered and ready in her dresser. We also have all the newborn diapers and diapering accessories ready in her dresser.

I just need to decide which outfit we want to bring her home in and pack her diaper bag plus a bag for me, Steve and Riggs. I probably won't pack that stuff until after 36 weeks, but I'm going to try and get her diaper bag ready sooner so I can keep my eye out for any last minute items I need. Some of the items I ordered for baby girl on Etsy have come in plus some EUC aden and anais swaddle blankets I purchased from an IG shop last week.

Movement: Although she's still more active than Riggs was, I can tell she's slowing down and running out of room for some of the more crazy acrobatic moves she's been fond of for the last couple of months. It feels like she's still breech (for sure today) but there have been a few times where it felt like she could have been head down or at least feet down (which is actually worse). I'm not really too worried about it, I think she still has plenty of time to move.

Symptoms: Still feeling surprisingly great. I have noticed more stiffness when I get up after sitting or laying down but I'm still sleeping great so that's really nice. No heartburn or any other 'typical' pregnancy symptoms and still no stretch marks, although my belly button is nearly flat and I feel like my skin is more stretched already than it was during my entire pregnancy with Riggs.

Cravings: Kettle potato chips, veggies (cucumbers!), fruit (watermelon!), and sweets.

What I Miss: I'm still feeling so great that I feel bad complaining, but I do miss just being normal self. I want to do all the things without having to think twice about whether it's safe or if I'm overdoing it. But things are flying by so fast I know I'll be back to normal soon enough, so it's not really something I think about very much. We don't know if we want to have another baby after this for sure so it could possibly be my last pregnancy and I want to savor every minute of it, even when it's not so fun.

Best Moment This Week: Hearing of all the May babies being born! My friend had her baby boy Saturday and Christine (whose blog I follow) had her baby girl earlier this week. Still waiting for a few more and it's so exciting! Lots to keep me distracted while I wait for my own sweet girl. I'm still a little in shock that my due date is next month, I know it's going to be here before I know it!

Looking Forward to: A gorgeous warm weekend with my guys and my midwife appointment on Wednesday. I'm interested to hear what they say about baby girls position...
